How to set default printer and default printer preference?

Sometimes it is convenient to set the BY-482BT printer as the default printer, and set some printer preferences as default preferences.

For Windows:

1. Set the default printer during driver installation

2. Set default preferences

Go to ‘Settings’-> ‘Devices’-> ‘Printers & Scanners’, find the printer ‘BY-482BT’, click ‘Manage’->‘Printing preferences’

(1)Paper size 

Choose the corresponding paper size according to the label size. (Generally, most shipping labels are 4”x6”.)

If you can’t find your needed size, choose ‘CUSTOM’ and add your customized size.

(2)Print speed and density 

Click ‘Parameters’, and you can reset the new print speed and density. Then click 'OK' to save them as the default ones. (Generally, just keep these default speed and density settings to print.)

For Mac:

1. Set the default printer

Go to ‘System Preferences’-> ‘Printers & Scanners’

You can set BY-482BT as the ‘Default printer’.

2. Set default preferences

Open a PDF file-> Click ‘Print’-> Select the printer ‘BY-482BT’-> Click ‘Properties’ 

(1)Paper size 

For 'Presets', choose 'Default Settings'

Choose the corresponding paper size according to the label size. (Generally, most shipping labels are 4”x6”.)

If the size you need is not listed, click ‘Manage Custom Sizes’ to customize the new size. 

(2)Print Concentration and Speed

For 'Presets', choose 'Default Settings'

Choose ‘Printer Features’-> Set ‘Concentration’ and ‘Printing speed’ (Generally, just keep these default settings to print.)
