Situation: If the printed label is unclear which causes barcodes fail to be scaned or the text hard to read, it might not print correctly.
Reason ①: Low-resolution label file
Choose PDF file formats instead of image formats, as printed PDFs are better quality than photos. If you must use photos, you should use high-resolution images.
Reason ②: Low print density setting
Please increase the print density properly(between 8-14). It is recommended to increase the density by 1 at a time.
NOTE: Too high density may cause some unwanted dark lines, and the labels may get too hot and stick to the printer head.
Go to ‘Settings’-> ‘Devices’-> ‘Printers & Scanners’, find the printer ‘BY-482BT’, click ‘Manage’->‘Printing preferences’-> Click ‘Parameters’, and you can reset the new print density
Reason ③: Incorrect paper size and margins
Please ensure the size of the printed label file matches the size of the loaded labels. For example, if your label is full size (8.5*11), please crop your label using "Take a snapshot" to crop a 4*6 size page to print.
The content should take up the whole label. If there are extra borders, the printer may “shrink” the size to a smaller size resulting in faded content.
Reason ④: Dust or adhesive on the printer head
Please clean the printer head with the alcohol swap by referring to the link: https://support.pedoolo.com/support/solutions/articles/151000077804-maintenance
NOTE: Dust, glue or other materials might be stuck to printer head after frequent printing or due to the shipping or storage in warehouses.Inspect the print head for contaminants and multi-clean it cause the glue may not be easy to clean.
