Why is the label printed sideways/with a lot of white space/too small?

Situation: Check if the print preview on the screen looks good. If the preview looks sideways on your screen or if it has a lot of white space around the label, it might not print correctly.

Reason ①: The printer setting paper size does not match the loaded label size

(1) Check the size of the source file label. (For example, if you think it is a 4''x6'' shipping label, check if you download the labels by selecting the right format (4”x6”) from the shipping platform)

(2) Go to ‘Settings’-> ‘Devices’-> ‘Printers & Scanners’, find the printer ‘BY-482BT’, click ‘Manage’-> ‘Printing preferences’-> ‘Stock’-> 'Default Paper', reset the paper size

(3) Check if the size of the loaded label is the same as the setting paper size.

NOTE: If you change the loaded labels to other sizes, please press the feed button and hold on until you hear one beep then release it to calibrate first.

If you can’t find your needed size, choose ‘CUSTOM’ and add your customized size.

Reason ②:  Incorrect orientation setting

Check the orientation setting to ensure the print preview is in the correct orientation.

For Mac: Adjust the orientation to Portrait or Landscape; or rotate it more specificately.

For Windows: Adjust the orientation to Portrait or Landscape; or adjust the direction more specificately.

Reason ③: Your printed label is designed for a size larger than the size of the loaded labels

Situation 1: Generally, the shipping label is 8.5" x 11", you load the 4"x6" label, and you want to print just a specific portion of it

Use the 'snapshot' function through the computer or use the 'crop' function through the smartphone to crop the area you want to print (Refer to this link: https://support.pedoolo.com/a/solutions/articles/151000094783

Situation 2: The size of loaded paper is smaller than the label file’s, and you want to print the whole page

For this situation, you can custom the scale to make the preview look good.

If the above is correct, the printer still prints blank labels or the label cannot be completely printed. Please calibrate after you load the paper, as the printer might not identify the size of the loaded paper correctly.
